The Program in Brief
The Database Specialist program develops program participants’ skills in dealing with enterprise scale databases and related applications. Participants will learn how to perform the essential duties of a database administrator and develop a strong conceptual and practical appreciation for the key elements of database management and security. Participants can expect comprehensive exposure to operating systems, networking, and the fundamentals of effective programming. The latter portion of the course will focus on the particulars of widely used database related applications such as Microsoft SQL Server 2003 and the Oracle Database system.

Anyone interested in the fields of database administration, analysis or development would be well served by this program.
Prerequisites:
Some previous exposure to computers and operating systems like Windows would be beneficial.
